Most of my family is Italian so I definitely grew up with a heavy emphasis on spending time in the kitchen. My grandmother used to come over all the time when I was young to cook and bake with my mom and I and those are some of my favorite memories ever! All that time in the kitchen growing up had a huge impact on how much I love cooking and baking as an adult. So I figured why not share my love of cooking with ya’ll along with everything else I post??
Today I want to share this yummy asparagus and ham quiche recipe I found through Pinterest! It’s soooo good, ya’ll. I mean, in all honesty, I could probably eat the whole dang thing in one sitting if I had no self control. Even Tyler’s a fan and he’s a “meat with every meal” kind of guy haha. This recipe is super easy and the prep doesn’t take long at all, which is one of my favorite things in a recipe haha. The worst part is waiting for 50 minutes for it to be done! You can also substitute different veggies/meats if you don’t love asparagus or ham.
• 4 eggs
• 3/4 cup half & half
• 1 cup swiss cheese, shredded
• 1 cup chopped asparagus
• 1 cup chopped ham
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1 unbaked pie crust
First, preheat your oven to 350˚F.
Then, whisk together the eggs and half & half together in a mixing bowl.
Once your eggs and half & half are whisked, fold in the chopped ham and asparagus, shredded swiss cheese, and salt. Put filling aside.
After that, take your pie crust and press it into the pie dish and put it in the freezer for 10 minutes to chill.
Last, pour the filling into the chilled crust and bake for 50 minutes! The center shouldn’t jiggle if it’s cooked all the way through.
Let it cool, serve, and enjoy!
